The one failing to see the value of people's lives was me after all. Perhaps I'm still seeing him as Hikaru? Maybe other people don't even matter to me in the first place. Because even if it hurts other people, Hikaru is important to me. Because I didn't want to be apart. Because I didn't want to be all by myself. Because I needed to be the one to save Hikaru.

Why Hikaru Indou? im already a huge fan of misunderstood characters percieved as 'scary monsters' given my history with Gon Freecss, which fun fact, hes also a fan of Gon Freecss. i like Eldritch Horror & Possessed Characters, i Like his dialect & how similar our Situations are & how patient & understanding he is with Yoshiki, i think its also Neat that hes canonically Aroace. tldr im Pretty charmed over just about everything about his character. And the Yaois REALLY good too. in all seriousness though, i found him at a very weird & rough time with my life + im a queer in the middle east & im pretty grateful that a character like him exists. hes like a friend i worry about.

  • He has a poor sense of personal space. He touches people on the same impulse as humans would pet cats

  • He often reads fables & kids' books to understand human values & all that, ex: Beauty & the Beast, & the Very Hungry Caterpillar
